"Silverstone is a fantastic and historical circuit! In the last 10 years the circuit has undergone changes and redeveloped a lot from a configuration point of view. Last year they put new tarmac down which made the cars much faster, I guess 2-3 sec faster. It’s also an awesome track to drive. It’s a very fluent circuit with a sequence of fast corners and a high average speed. It’s not an easy track to understand at first"

"The South of France is always attractive and the weather is fantastic, which is not far from the sea. In recent times, the Circuit Paul Ricard has had a total resurfacing and it was rebuilt, meaning that now it’s a much faster track. I like the circuit and I have always had luck there. The one thing which is missing for the driver – is the feeling of it being a classic circuit, due to the colorful run-off areas. It feels like a little bit of romanticism is missing. However, the track itself has a lot of straights and it forgives any driver mistakes, because of a lot of space around the corners"

"Spa-Francorchamps is the highlight of the season and it’s one of my favorite circuits in the world! What can I say, it’s a very challenging circuit. It has many fast corners and the difference in altitude is truly enormous. Of course, the track itself is highly unforgiving because of the configuration and the high-speed corners – you’re always right on the limit without much margin for error. The atmosphere here is always fulfilling and gives you so much energy. It’s a fantastic vibe! Without a doubt, I’m very much looking forward to drive at this track again"

"Well, it’s Spain, it’s September and the weather is very nice! It’s a very good end of the season race. Barcelona is a fast track that has a nice rhythm to it. It’s not my favorite one but it’s a good and challenging circuit. It has a lot of blind long corners. Sometimes it’s confusing and you don’t understand where you are exactly because the turn is so long"

Leonid Machitski is a Russian driver currently racing for Barwell Motorsport in the Blancpain GT Series – AM class.

Leo was born in Irkutsk, Russia and since the age of 10, was raised at a British boarding school in the UK, where he moved to with his twin-brother at the age 16. Together they started a car import business, importing spare parts for Japanese cars – they also tuned cars and sold them across Europe. Leo’s responsibility was to understand how everything works at the race tracks, so he quickly turned his skills and feel for speed to motor racing.

Machitski participated in the GT races of Stéphane Ratel’s championship since the moment the sporting regulations were modified and came into force in 2005. He started behind the wheel of Honda Civic.

Later in 2006 he made his debut driving the Aston Martin DBRS9 for Barwell Motorsport in the FIA GT3 European Championship. Leo displayed his talent immediately and since those early days he has been a regular podium finisher and won the British GT Championship in the GT3 class.
